TGC Korea

TGC는 The Gospel Coalition(복음연합)의 약자로서, 개혁주의적인 신학과 복음중심적인 신앙을 전 세계에 전파하기 위해 2005년 미국에서 창립된 기독교 연합 기구입니다.

30만 개가 넘는 강의, 설교, 대담, 에세이, 평론이 TGC 웹사이트(www.thegospelcoalition.org)에 올라가 있습니다. 미국 사이트의 경우, 매일 새로운 아이템이 업로드 되고, 해마다 2천만 명의 순(純)방문자와 1억 5천만 뷰(view)의 방문을 기록하고 있습니다. TGC는 온라인 사역만이 아니라 교육, 출판, 아웃리치 등의 오프라인 사역도 활발하게 감당하고 있습니다. 그뿐 아니라, 전국컨퍼런스와 여성컨퍼런스를 격년으로 번갈아 개최함으로써 개혁주의의 방향성을 늘 점검하고 있으며, 다양한 세미나를 전 세계적으로 시행함으로써 개혁주의 운동을 앞장서 벌이고 있습니다.

현재 TGC에 가입된 미국 내 교회는 1500개, 회원은 30-40만 명입니다. 아프리카, 중국, 중남미 다수의 교회들이 TGC 신앙고백문을 채택해 사용하고 있는데, 예를 들어, 중국에서는 2천 교회 10만 명 성도가 소속된 교단이 본 신앙고백문을 사용하고 있습니다.

2017년 12월부터 1년의 준비 과정을 거쳐 2018년 11월 드디어 TGC코리아(TGCK)가 공식적으로 발족됐습니다. 개혁주의 신앙을 추구하는 목회자들로 구성된 이사회가 구성되고, 사무총장을 비롯한 스태프가 선임됐습니다. TGC코리아는 TGC의 철학과 신앙고백을 계승하여, 대한민국과 한국어권 교포사회에서 개혁주의 신앙을 사수하고 전파하기 위해 설립됐습니다

TGC코리아 웹사이트는 다양한 주제의 동영상과 글을 한국어로 제작하여 무료로 공급합니다. TGC 한국어 사이트는 미국 영어, 캐나다 영어, 호주 영어, 스페인어, 프랑스어, 이탈리아어, 중국어, 아랍어 사이트와 함께 TGC 본부 웹사이트에 연동돼 있습니다. 또한, 미국의 개혁주의 신앙을 대표하는 5대 인기 사이트인 TGC(D. A. 카슨, 팀 켈러)와 Desiring God(존 파이퍼), Ligonier (R.C.스프로울), Nine Marks(마크 데버) 그리고 Unlimited Grace(브라이언 채플)의 수준 높은 자료들을 공식적으로 허락을 받아 한국에 우리말로 소개하고 있습니다.

TGC stands for The Gospel Coalition, a United Nations organization founded in 2005 in the United States to spread Reformed theology and gospel-centered faith around the world.

Over 300,000 lectures, sermons, talks, essays and reviews are posted on the TGC website at www.thegospelcoalition.org. On the US site, new items are uploaded every day, with 20 million unique visitors and 150 million views each year. TGC is actively engaged in not only online ministry but also offline ministry such as education, publishing, and outreach. In addition, we constantly check the direction of reformism by holding national conferences and women's conferences every other year, and lead the reformist movement by conducting various seminars around the world.

Currently, there are 1,500 churches and 30-400,000 members in the United States that have joined the TGC. Many churches in Africa, China, and Latin America have adopted and used the TGC Confession of Faith.

After a year of preparation from December 2017, TGC Korea (TGCK) was officially launched in November 2018. A board of directors was formed of pastors seeking Reformed faith, and a staff and other staff were appointed. TGC Korea was established to inherit the philosophy and confession of TGC and to defend and spread reformist faith in Korean and Korean-speaking Korean communities.
